You woke up on the wrong side o’ the bed,
Don’t try and hide it baby… you did.

You got the mean reds and no breakfast…
Tiffany’s is far far away…
Baby woke up on the wrong side o’ the bed.
She’ll try and hide it… but she did.

With no coffee to drown… and
No toast to crunch… she looks so so sad…
Oh baby didn’t get her morning coffee today!
The sun wasn’t shining… the birds no chirpin’

She finally got out… in blue and black…
But it was a pretty turquoise with silver hoops
She smiled and smiled at her pretty face
She smiled then at their welcoming embrace
JD and coke followed by a smoke.
A book, a coffee plunger and Italian medium roast.
Baby got out o’ the funk today… she did…
One swipe o’ the card and baby did a dance.

Nobody puts baby in a corner! says Mr. Mastercard.
