I was heartbroken, but now they are just pissing me off.
Enough has been said about 26/11 or whatever they are calling it. Enough has been written, and read and seen and heard. People are continuing to come up with poems, letters, notes, forwards, and water cooler gossip/ rumours. The media had a field day which stretched on to days. Aaj Tak and India TV bitches were probably orgasming with each grenade blast. More was said, more was conjectured, shit hit the ceiling various times during the “siege”. People talked and continue to talk. I know people are scared. So am I. I know our opinion is nothing but an impression of what we see/ hear and how we digest it. Everyone was scared and will be. These places are ones we visit without fail in Bombay. These places were people’s homes. Everyone has a story. Everyone has incidents to narrate. I do too. But can we please stop the bullshit? Can we please just stop? STOP.
If I hear one more person talk of how we should go to war or how BJP would have been better at putting these people away I will scream. If one more person tells me how our arms and ammunition are outdated and it’s the government’s fault, I will pull my hair out. If I hear any news from effing Aaj Tak being paraphrased, I swear, I will lash out and hit you. So STOP. Shut up. Don’t be proud of your little stories about people who are no more… Stop coming up with the next steps for the Government of India… and just meditate or shut up or pray or do whatever it is you do to thank the stars that you are fine. Because a war won’t help. Neither will pointing fingers. Nor will anyone come back from the dead if you talk some more about them. Instead, try and do your bit. Donate if you want to. Wear white shirts or all black if you want to. Light candles if it calms you down for we need to be calm. And just let those security guards do their job. It is okay if you need to produce an id card. It is NOT embarrassing.
You know what? Talk. Talk as much as you want. Come up with new security plans for the country and build an infantry/ another force if needed. Just leave me out of it. I cannot digest more half baked misinformed ridiculous opinions and bright ideas.

how does one comment on a subject where the subject is about not commenting on the subject itself? :)
if you’re feeling that angry, i’ve got a certain bus driver whom you can beat up, in my sights. we’ll take turns stoning the bugger. deal?

indeed its irritating when people make it more of a fad than an issue. whats worse is listening to the same discussion over and over, at least let me dine in peace >_<

@Joe: :) Deal! Now all I need is a ticket to London. Right?
@Haru: It’s not about leaving me alone to dine in peace… It’s about respecting other people’s loss. It’s about realising that ridiculous comments about war/ riots/ an entire batch of interns being unfortunate enough to start their shift when this happened will not help. And most importantly, we should just stop pointing fingers and hurling accusatory comments on minorities or countries without proof. Doesn’t our media do enough damage that educated, aware people fall prey to it, instead of thinking before talking utter nonsense? Ok. I’ll stop now. At the risk of sounding cyber stupid, what is “>_<”?!

Right.
Slight problem there, I return home very shortly. So by the time you get here, ill be there.
Compromise: We’ll find a mallu bus driver and stone him. End of day, he’s mallu, he probably had it coming anyway. :D

There was the absolutely ridiculous idea someone came up with- the ‘no blogging day’. I have no clue how that helps. Bloggers themselves don’t give a rat’s ass if they/another doesn’t blog for a day, why terrorists should even concern themselves is beyond me.
The most annoying thing about the whole media farce? People like Barkha Dutt screaming themselves hoarse with their pseudo emo talk.

@Joe: :D Alright then! Yay!
@Purely_Narcotic: ‘No blogging day’?! Oh-kayy then. Someone have mercy on us morons.

Exactly my feelings right now. I’m still grieving and I know you may be too but stop ranting now.

Just stop watching the TV! Problem solved. The family of cheap copycat 24×7 news channels have found a fodder to cling on to and they would sensationalize things as long as they can. Oh, and for serious opinion, read the Stratfor Security Report.

Tell me about it. Ive blanked out since the last 3-4 days out of ‘what the F do i say’.
Its not like I want people to stop dicsussing it, for fear of the fury, anger and determinaton among people to die down (WHICH HAS TO CONTINUE, ABLAZE TILL HOWEVER LONG IT TAKES). All I want is for people to realize, that futile talk, and idle rumours are a waste of everyones time and evergy.
A few of my friends too, have made very fancy stories about this whole sitatuion and how the cunning terrorists demanded ransoma dn some other crap which isnt really true. I mean C’mon. Are we all crazy?
This turned into a long rant. I apologise.

@Serendipity: Rant away… it’s just misguided misinformed crap that we have a problem with… and yes, we don’t want people to forget about it… although people tend to do that… public memory is ridiculously poor.
